The Thursday (OK Friday) Preview...

17 Jun 2022 by Deanne Golledge

After a week off to celebrate Our Majestys’ Birthday we welcome back our regular programming – yes, the footy is back (and netball)…

Quick preview this week as I have gotten out of my rhythm – and my mind was on the yellow and black yesterday. How good is it to go into the weekend with a win? And it’s not even the weekend yet!

Friday Night sees our netballers hit the court at Mill Park at 8.45. Kilmore are the opponent. Good luck Ladies.

I would like to mention the first footy game was also supposed to be tonight. Sadly Lower Plenty-Bundoora have forfeited and our Div 1 ladies get another week off to rest injuries and prepare for the run home.

Bubba’s 19s are first up on Saturday. A stand alone game at home against laurimar. Get your coffee at one our sponsors and get down and cheer the boys on. It would be great to see crowd at home on a brisk Saturday morning. The Auskickers are on teh top ground. Check out our future stars. 9.40am start

Team Stoiks, Reserves and Seniors head to Yulong Reserve to take on the might of Bundoora. The Scotty Pywell Cup is up for grabs in the Ones’. Get there and support all our teams. Hopefully we come home grinning!

Junior Action:

Under 9 Blue at home against Mill Park – 9.00am Main oval. This is followed by the 9 red side, taking on Montmornecy at 10.15.

The Under 10s head to South Morang at 11.30am.

Under 11s also hit the road, travelling to Mernda. Nice early start at 9.30

The Under 12s head to Eltham -Susan St ground at 11.45

Epping is the venue for the Under 13s. 11.30 the kick off time.

The 16s are back home again, to take on the boys from Epping at 11.30.

Rounding out the Junior action, the 17s are also at home against Eltham at 1.15pm.

Finally at the home of football, the Womens development team face the might of Heidelberg. Get down and check out the action. The Bar and canteen will be open and The banter will be willing. What a fabulous way to round out your weekend!

Good Luck to all our Roosters.

Keep your eye on the Red, White and Blue.
